South Australia Government Home Battery Scheme

The South Australian Government is currently offering subsidies for home battery systems.

The home battery systems are for existing and new rooftop solar panel systems.

Homeowners and non-homeowners can participate in the scheme (non-homeowners will need the homeowner's approval).

The subsidy is based on the capacity (kilowatt hours) of the battery purchased. This is $600 per kilowatt hour (kWh) for Energy Concession Holders and $500 per kWh for all other households.

If you would like more information and to see if a battery could be right for your home visit the Home Battery Scheme website.

The battery system must be approved under the Scheme and be installed by a System Provider who has qualified for the Home Battery Scheme. A list of System Providers is on the website.
